You can delete your Chess Caddy account and its data at any time, from any browser — you do
not need the app installed. Chess Caddy is run by Citrusync.
Most people do not have an account. The tournament app works without one. Accounts exist
only for club pages. If you never signed in with your email address, there is no account to delete — see
"If you never made an account" below.
Option 1: delete it yourself (about a minute)
- Go to chesscaddy.com/account in any browser.
- Enter the email address you signed up with. We email you a six-digit code; type it in.
- Scroll to Delete your account, press Delete my account, and
confirm.
It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Option 2: ask us
Email support@chesscaddy.com
from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete it and reply to
confirm within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you write from a different address we may ask you to confirm
that the account is yours, so we never delete someone else's.
What is deleted
- Your account and email address, and every sign-in session and sign-in code.
- Your clubs: club pages, club details and logo, rosters and ladder ratings.
- Every tournament you published while signed in — the public page and the stored copy.
- A subscription you bought on the web is cancelled first, so you are not charged
again.
What is kept
- Payment records — Stripe (web) and Apple (iPhone and iPad app) keep their own records
of past payments for as long as the law requires.
- Anonymous analytics — visit counts and feature events, which never contained your
email, name or tournaments and are not linked to your account. They expire on their own (see the
Privacy Policy, section 10).
Subscribed in the iPhone or iPad app? That subscription is billed by Apple, and deleting
your Chess Caddy account does not stop it. Cancel it on your device in Settings → your name
→ Subscriptions → Chess Caddy → Cancel Subscription.
If you never made an account
- Tournaments in the app are stored only on your device. Delete them with
Start over in the app, by clearing the browser's site data for chesscaddy.com, or by
uninstalling the app.
- A page you published without an account can be removed from the app's Publish dialog,
using the edit key you were given. Lost the key? Email us the page's link and we will take it down.
- Your name is on someone else's published page? Email us the link and we will remove
it — no account needed.
